Kerning is the gap between two letterforms.

Exploring Kerning
This kerning is for an Indie Band company. The Z is of the baseline to suggest a quirky quality towards the brand.
This is for an Office company. Every letter is in proportion and includes a close kerning to suggest something more trustworthy. Due to each letter being inline suggests a formative approach.
This experimentation was for a condom company. This includes a close kerning to suggest the company is trustworthy and to create the idea of being safe.
Kerning is important when designing typography, as it helps proportion each letterform in a set text to create it to be aesthetically pleasing.
If the kerning is placed wrong it could be misread and miscommunicated.
This will help me with my practise as I will have to ensure the logo I produce is readable and accurate.
