Adolescence records youth culture, which will explore subcultures within the publication. The inspiration is through nostalgia and fragmentation which are collected from lived experiences. The publication will explore Suburban, Fashion, Music, nightlife, and travel. The information will be shown through photography.
Adolescence will showcase emerging photographers, to encourage creativity to inspire the audience. The aim of this is to challenge the reader of their interpretation. This will challenge our audience believing in their intelligence to think conceptually.
Youth culture consists of diversity but will have the ability to bring people together. Adolescence represents this crossover appeal of different styles and approaches.
This publication helps to capture the essence of youth in a physical publication which can be cherished and looked back on in time.
Target Market
The age range will be 17-30 years old. The individual will have personal nostalgic memories. The individual will be well educated above average, must think conceptually. The reader will understand links between each image, and have an interest in cultural movements. The reader will be street wise and will be aware of youth activities.

What makes the front cover stand out? How can I use this example to help make Adolescence stand out? The background explores a gradient fill which reminds me of the process of screen printing. Perhaps the background could reflect this process and style to fit into something which is different, fresh and unique.
ID
i-D explores composition layout, through exploring colour palette and backgrounds. Perhaps I could incorporate this structure to reflect fragmentation.
Positioning
The front cover will be minimal with no photography to move away from generic magazines.
Sold at Independent Fashion/ Music Venues/ Shops such as Palace, Supreme, John Lewis (high end designer stores). Will also be sold in libraries, student libraries, online at a discounted price. Example of stores in Leeds; village bookshops, jumbo records, Leeds University, Leeds O2 Academy.
