Secondary Resources for Trinity Kitchen

Rola Wala

Day Six is a graphic design company allocated in Edinburgh where they designed the Rola Wala website.



The typeface is Univers which creates a freshness which relates to the food. It also creates a more contemporary approach towards Indian Cuisines. The overlay of the text of photographic imagery creates a sense of fullness which relates to the overall taste. The graphics in the the logo and photographic presentation is strong and creates a sense of individuality. This Concept will be adapted by applying a universal typeface to suggest worldwide cultures and unity. 



 The concept of including a monochrome colour palette, contrasted with the colourful photography, the typeface also incorporates hierarchy. The feature includes ratings which will help develop my practise further. I could perhaps adapt the idea of a colour scheme with the ratings to create a continuous flow towards the designs.



Rola Wala uses social media to promote their food. The use of social media aims at the target market of 18-30 year olds. The use of social media creates that connection and awareness towards young users. The imagery collected was through the instagram page. 

A collective amount oh photographic research was collected. These pictures will be used for the app to identify which meal is which. It will create a better understanding.

Pizza Luxe

The type includes hierarchy to show important for the name, style and size is incorporated to reflect this hierarchy. The photography is placed first to promote the food. The constraints of the pizza ingredients shows the user what exactly is in the pizza to create the link between type and image. This perhaps will create a better communication. To develop my practise I could adapt this idea of constraints towards the design. 












The layout includes a column grid however when you clicked on a particular image the image expands and and animates to the next recipe. This feature is successful as it focuses on meal and indicates a clear indication of what the recipe is. The structure of the type s minimal and focuses more on imagery. This could be adapted to create a more sophisticated approach. 

Tortilla 

Images Collected through the tortilla social media, as well as a collected PDF menu containing all the recipes. The concept of the bar is you see your wrap, burrito, taco shells being made. This creates a personal feel towards the food. Therefore this concept of personal, individual food will be applied towards the design concept.

Secondary images to identify each meal stated on the menu. 

My conceptual idea was to pick out constraints and create illustrations to form a sense of a background for the Vietnamese culture. The illustration would also include Vietnamese type to address the concept of culture.

360- Champagne and Cocktail Bar

This company includes a loyalty card. To develop the brand of Trinity Kitchen further, they could adapt the concept of a loyalty as a collective instead of set restaurant. This will encourage users to use trinity kitchen compared to other competitors in Trinity such as Nando's and TGI Fridays. The use of the app introduces layout as well as being straight to the point, by creating a focus. The ap design is successful and shows a sense of class and sophistication, which explores creativity. This could be adapted when designing, however the app will have to include a sense of unity to bring together the brands within Trinity Kitchen. 













PDF menus collected. Food menu is unknown as the company is known for their champagne. The app will show diversity as well as addressing the food more.
